Paul is an extraordinarily versatile pianist who readily switches from classical to jazz to musical theatre often in the same concerts. Praised by Classical FM’s Jean Stilwell as “a pianist who takes you through beautifully shaped phrases with fantastic energy and momentum”. Paul is a passionate and sensitive musician who loves accompanying singers, conducting, working with orchestras and performing solo piano.
Currently, Paul works as Robert Pilon's music director and pianist, and together they have performed in Saint-Andrews-by-the Sea, NB and Vimy Ridge, France as well as throughout the GTA. He also enjoys organizing concerts with two of his friends, David Moote and Meher Pavri.
He has also performed throughout North America and Europe in such venues as Frankfurt am Mein(Frankfurt Germany, Princess of Wales Theatre (Toronto), Place Des Arts (Montreal), The Banff Centre for the Performing Arts (Banff) and The Homburg Theatre (Charlottetown), Shaw Festival Theatre (Niagara-on-the-lake) and Koerner Hall (Toronto).
Additionally, Paul regularly works on musical theatre cabarets and concerts, private events, corporate functions, weddings and receptions. He has worked with corporations such as Imperial Oil, SK films, eOne, SickKids Foundation and at event spaces including The Arts and Letters Club, The Art Gallery of Ontario, The York Club, Queen’s Landing and many churches and golf courses through Ontario and Quebec.
